Backstory

Celeste is a Raen Au Ra, born in an unknown province in the empire, raised in Kugane and later Ul'dah, and recently semi-retired WoL. She is kind, shy, and deceptively sweet, but in truth she simply has a fierce loyalty to a small number of people who want to do good. Her first priority will always be their protection over any general moral righteousness.Initially a Black Mage, after returning from the First she took a sabbatical to travel, and found a strange character named Fray. She returned home to the Scions, giant sword on her back and a new fierceness to protect them.

Current

After Endwalker she settled down in Ishgard to be near her adopted family, the Fortemps, and lives with her new family consisting of two half-faded souls of the dead convinced to live one more mortal life with her and her new child, conceived during a brief visit to a floating paradise of long ago.

Hooks

Upbringing
She has vague memories of her parents fleeing once of the provinces in the empire, but has no idea which one. Her earliest memories are of Kugane where she loved to climb the buildings, until they were again forced to flee to Eorzea, but she was the only one who made the crossing.Outsider
For a long time she was the only Au Ra she knew, and was seen as exotic in Ul'dah and later Ishgard, and to this day feels self-conscious about her horns and tail if anyone draws attention to them.Magic
While she mostly wields a giant sword these days, her first love will always be magic and the weaving of different elements. She invented a lot of her own spells, much to her tutor Lalai's complaintsGlowing Eyes
She has always had a glow to the edges of her eyes, not only are they bright but they seem to give off light, and they have only grown brighter with time. Initially believed to be an aftereffect of the Light, she now knows they are part of her ancient self breaking through.
